258 •366 - Reggio Emilia

This is a partial view of one three bridges in Reggio Emilia, Italy. They were designed by spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. They were opened in 2007 and I remember thinking the first time I saw them, even though I did not know who the architect was at the time, that they looked very like his other creations, especially his work in Valencia which I had seen some years before. I tried to get a shot as we drove towards it on the autostrada but it wasn't a great shot. This one was taken just after we passed under the largest of the three bridges. I have to say photography like this is so much easier when there is no roof in the way :-)
